Superwoody for the fans
For the fans, and anyone else who's interested ...

I was born on 13 July 1967 in Amsterdam.

Education:
- Nursery school 'de Goudplevier'.
- Primary school 'de Johan Huizingaschool'.
- Secondary school 'Amsterdamse Montessori lyceum'.
- 2 Years medical biology at the University of Amsterdam.
- Academy of physical education (ALO). Finished in 1994.

In 1986, after finishing Secondary school I decided to work for a few months on a kibbutz in Israel (Ein Hagoresh). My younger brother Michiel gave me a few old beanbags 'to avoid getting bored'. My job on the kibbutz: Picking oranges, of course. I don't need to tell you that besides picking these oranges I threw them in the air quite a lot. From then onwards I was addicted to juggling.

Once back in Holland I started my studies and besides going to college I was practising juggling five hours a day. Every day I practised in the Vondelpark together with 'Bert the juggler' (the same Bert who 15 years later is still practising all day next to the 'Nederlandse bank' in Amsterdam). Only when the temperature was far below zero did we go to the gym 'de Bonte Koe'.

During my study at the ALO I started performing. Initially, mainly on the street, but pretty soon also at parties and festivals. In summer I toured Europe and in winter I studied and worked for booking agents. The year I finished college I met Robert Herse of 'More Balls Than Most'. Robert was starting a juggling company aiming at the business market with his motto 'the art of letting go'. Robert wanted me to participate as a 'real juggler'. Next to my own network the MBTM shows gave me enough work to be a full-time professional performer.

10 Years ago I started juggling with bouncing balls. Just like when I started juggling, I practised for hours and hours every day. In the Vondelpark I found a perfect surface to bounce my beloved bouncing balls.

After 2 years of bouncing I developed the 'Amazing juggle keyboard'. This keyboard gave me a new challenge to develop a new original routine for my show.

Since 2000 I also have a show together with Jeroen Regtien (check www.1to7.net) and started to renew my original 'Superwoody 'show.

My hobbies are:
- Fishing (carp, pike and trout).
- Tennis.
- Snooker.
- Darts.

Oh, and last but not least ... I have two wonderful daughters!!

Superwoody: a musician, stand-up comedian and juggler in one. His musical jugglingshow is perfectly suitable for galas, larger parties, television productions and theme festivals and events.
